The only designer shoe store close to me growing up was in the outlet mall. I dreaded going there, because I knew it was full of “old lady” shoes. I thought the whole idea of this brand was just so drab and boring. The idea of buying anything Nine West literally made me shake in horror.
Alas, it seems as though times have changed. Nine West has not only taken a million steps forward with their merchandising, they have taken steps to go along with this footloose and fancy free generation of awesome gals. Their new advertisements are skewed toward the independent woman who knows she can spend her money as she pleases, the woman who vacations with her gaggle of girlfriends and isn’t afraid of going out on the town on a week night and celebrating for no reason. Bottom line, these ads represent the woman of today who is not afraid of not being tied down.
