The only plaid I have ever worn has gone on a comfy flannel (read: around the Christmas tree with a cup of cocoa) and it has not been red.
I saw in Glamour
or something that red plaid was a trend for fall, but I just can’t get behind it, no matter how jolly I feel.
The color red, however? That is something I can definitely get behind.
Red = vibrant, powerful and extremely feminine. It couldn’t be sexier and stronger if it tried. Totally fitting for the season I am dubbing powerFall. Hashtag the hell out of that.
Some powerFall red (some from Spring 2014 NYFW) goodness:
Creatures Wind NYFW Spring 2014
Reem Acra NYFW Spring 2014
Thakoon NYFW Spring 2014
Suno NYFW Spring 2014
Zac Posen NYFW Spring 2014
After Zac Posen: Monique Lhuillier (4 pics) Fendi, Lanvin, Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Loewe, Derek Lam
…and of course, our girl DVF is digging the red accents and the ultimate all red power dress for NYFW Spring 2014:
…Janelle Monae releases Electric Lady, an album that is guaranteed to run on a constant loop in our heads, reminding us that summer is most certainly not over and that even when it is over, the party sure as hell isn’t.
To top it off (as if she had to!), she duets with sultry Solange Knowles on the title track, “Electric Lady”, the melodic funktress Erykah Badu on the sprightly tune “Q.U.E.E.N” and the oh so sexy Miguel on the slow jam “PrimeTime”.
It is hard to pick a fave, but “Dance Apocalyptic” is a sure fire way to make sure we all get on our feet, because (duh) summer isn’t over until Janelle Monae says it’s over.
(Note: This video is super fun but the wardrobe is to die for. And look at all of that finger flair. What a dream.)
Oh and by the way, is this cover photo fiercefiercefierce, or what?
Felicity is one lucky gal. Not only is she going to be in Girls next season where she’ll be able to wear even more ridiculously beautiful bitchin’ clothing, but she has already been able to wear some fashion gems.
In Cheerful Weather for the Wedding, which was set in the 1940’s, (watch it on your Netflix instant stream, the production design and scenery is absolutely breathtaking), she was definitely able to get her fashion swag on.
I mean, just look!
This dress was my personal favorite. That open back is to die for! Props to costume designer Camille Benda, who is not lacking experience. You go, girl.
OMG. OMG. O.M.G. This is super duper late, I know but the process of moving back to LA has been a bit of an undertaking. SO HAPPY TO BE BACK!
Who thinks Ezra is “A”? Who thinks he is working for “A”?
Honestly though, I think that anyone could have been “A” and I think it was written that way. I bet you even Mr. Harding didn’t know he was “A” until this season. Just my opinion.
Dear PLL Stylists:
All the girls looked awesome in this episode. Loved everything.
Hey girls and boys!
My studio in LA is open starting on 9/2.
I don’t do headshot formatting or any special publicity formatting, but I charge $20 for a 30 minute session. I have music for every taste (pretty much), but if you want to bring your iPod you are more than welcome!
You bring the CD so I can upload the photos right then and there.
What you do with them is up to you! This is also ATTN: your dogs.
If you or anyone you know needs some pics (or if you have any questions), shoot me an e-mail with your deets.
So hold tight, with the exception of my PLL finale style pick, I will return sometime in the next couple of weeks (when I get internet in my FABULOUS new apartment). I will leave you with this sentiment.
